Gacha Games Week 2: Sports Week Needs One Uncommon From Each of Four Sports

Week two of Collector Crypt's September Gacha Games runs September 8 to 14, and it leaves Pokémon behind. The featured challenge is Sports Week: pull one Uncommon-or-better card from each of football, soccer, basketball and baseball. Four sports, four qualifying pulls, one badge.

The machines

Sports machines now live on the main Collector Crypt site as well as the standalone Gacha Sports site, at $50, $100 and $250 per sport. The tier that matters for the challenge is Uncommon, which is a value band rather than a rarity label.

$250 machines (football, basketball, baseball):

| Tier | Value | Odds | | --- | --- | --- | | Common | $150 to $250 | 75% | | Uncommon | $250 to $400 | 20% | | Rare | $400 to $2,000 | 4% | | Epic | $2,000+ | 1% |

Soccer's $250 machine runs slightly different bands: Uncommon $250 to $500, Rare $500 to $1,250, Epic $1,250 and up.

$50 machines: Uncommon is $60 to $110, with odds of 80% Common, 15% Uncommon, 4% Rare and 1% Epic.

At the $250 tier, a quarter of rips land Uncommon or better. Expect to need three to four rips per sport to clear the challenge, or fewer if you get lucky early. The $50 machines are cheaper per attempt but the 15% Uncommon rate means more of them.

The chase cards

The Gacha Sports pools list the top prizes on the machine pages. As of this week:

  • 2009 Stephen Curry rookie, PSA 7 at $9,500 (basketball)
  • 2025 Kylian Mbappé, PSA 10 at $8,600 (soccer)
  • 2017 Patrick Mahomes rookie, PSA 10 at $8,000 (football)
  • 2022 James Harden, PSA 10 at $8,100 (basketball)

Those are Epic-tier pulls at 1% odds on the $250 machines. The realistic target for the challenge is the Uncommon band, but the Epics are why the sports machines exist.

Gym badges this week

The Pokémon flash challenges continue regardless of the featured challenge. Wednesday September 9 is Electric type for the Thunder Badge, Friday September 11 is Grass type for the Rainbow Badge. Both need a Pokémon rip, so anyone chasing all eight badges will be splitting spend between sports and Pokémon this week.

Also live

  • The Total Points Leaderboard and streak badges carry over. Anyone who has ripped every day since September 1 hits the 7-day streak badge today.
  • The week's Secret Flash Challenge will land on Discord with 24 hours' notice. Week one's secret was a Riftbound challenge, so keep an eye on the non-Pokémon machines.
  • Marketplace purchases and partner-platform rips still do not count.
