Beezie Drops Its Hidden 6% SWAP Fee and Puts Birkins in the Claw

Beezie has reworked its economics twice since August and expanded well beyond trading cards. Here is where the Claw stands after today's change.

The SWAP fee is gone

The change that matters most for anyone running the numbers: Beezie has removed the 6% fee that used to come off the displayed SWAP rate. In Beezie's own words, "the SWAP % you see is now the SWAP % you get." A 92% SWAP on a $1,000 fair-market-value item now returns $920 instead of roughly $864.

Average Value and SWAP % are now set independently per machine. After a "Beast Mode" launch test, Beezie says the target range is 90% to 92% for both. Items are permanently removed once pulled, with no restocking.

One thing to keep an eye on: the live machine pages still show 85% SWAP on the Base Silver TCG and Wildcard machines, and on the Solana Wildcard. Either the pages lag the announcement or those tiers sit below the stated target. Check the machine before you pull.

Current lineup and SWAP rates as listed:

  • Base: Platinum TCG $500 at 90%, Gold TCG $250 at 90%, Silver TCG $50 at 85%, Wildcard $30 at 85%.
  • Solana: Platinum $500 at 90%, Silver TCG $100 at 90%, Wildcard $30 at 85%. There is no Gold machine on Solana.

This follows the August 12 update, A Simpler, Clearer Claw Experience, which made fair market value the standard metric everywhere and introduced claw-specific SWAP rates that rise with machine price.

Luxury goods, starting with a Birkin

On September 3, Beezie announced a partnership with The Luxury Closet, the Middle East's largest luxury resale marketplace, to tokenize authenticated luxury goods on Solana with swaps up to 92% of fair market value.

The first items into the Claw were an Hermès Birkin 40, a black Chanel handbag, Dior and Louis Vuitton duffels, a "Batman" Rolex GMT-Master II and an 18k Van Cleef & Arpels Alhambra necklace. They are already being pulled: a $12,292 Birkin 40 turned up in the Solana Platinum tier in last week's top grails.

"Luxury has always had the characteristics of a collectible: scarcity, cultural value and a secondary market," CEO Andrea Miele said. Beezie plans "blind shopping bags" for late 2026 as a step toward an always-on luxury claw with thousands of items. The release also cites more than one million cumulative Claw pulls.

The funding behind it

The expansion is backed by a $4 million round led by Psalion VC Fund III, announced July 27. Beezie disclosed more than $170 million in GMV since launch, $85 million-plus in revenue year to date, and 30,000-plus active users since January. That came a month after a separate round led by Moonrock Capital and a community raise on Echo that sold out in ten minutes.

The Claw went live on Solana on July 23, four days before the funding news, with what Beezie called "ZERO recycled slabs." Beezie now runs on Flow, Base and Solana.

What to watch

Whether the 85% machines on the live site move up to the 90% to 92% range Beezie has committed to, and how quickly the luxury inventory grows ahead of the late-2026 blind bags. No new TCG tier has appeared this quarter; Wildcard, Silver, Gold and Platinum remain the lineup.
