Three weeks into September, Collector Crypt has launched three anniversary machines, moved sports onto its main site, and watched its biggest distribution partner pass a milestone. Here is the rundown.
Three anniversary tiers
On September 15, timed to the Pokémon TCG "30th Celebration" set the following day, Collector Crypt launched its Pokémon 30th Anniversary Gachas at $30, $300 and $3,000. From the official announcement: "Three decades. Three ways to celebrate. Every rip also counts toward this week's Raid Boss battle. Choose your tier. Join the fight."
Those machines sit inside a month-long September Gacha Games event. Weekly challenges run Tuesday to Monday UTC. Week one was a Starter Hunt (ten Pokémon from any starter line). Week two was a sports challenge requiring one Uncommon-or-better card from each of football, soccer, basketball and baseball. Week three, ending tonight, is a collaborative Raid Boss in which every rip on the anniversary machines counts toward the fight. Week four's challenge is announced tomorrow. Running alongside all of it: Wednesday and Friday gym-badge flash challenges, a weekly Discord-only secret challenge, and a Total Points Leaderboard splitting one billion Gacha Points. Marketplace purchases do not count toward any of it. We're covering each week in its own post.
Sports moves onto the main site
Twelve new sports machines have appeared on the main Collector Crypt site: football, soccer, baseball and basketball, each at $50, $100 and $250. Until now, sports lived mainly on the separate Gacha Sports site that launched in June at $100 per pack. The exact launch date for the new machines is unclear; it looks like late August or early September.
Jupiter Gacha crosses $50 million
Collector Crypt's biggest distribution partner keeps growing. Jupiter Gacha, powered by Collector Crypt's API, passed $50 million in total volume today. It launched in beta on July 14 and did $3.3 million in its first 22 hours. It now offers five categories: sports, Pokémon from $25 to $2,500, watch packs, Riftbound and One Piece from $50. Packs are bought in USDC and can be sold back at 85% of insured value within three days.
Collector Crypt packs are also distributed through Solflare, Rarible's Gacha Station and Gacha Sports, all on the same open API. Since August 31, its tokenized slabs are tradeable on OpenSea, which named Collector Crypt as a launch collection when it added Solana.
The numbers
- $1.6 billion lifetime volume and more than 130,000 tokenized cards as of August 6, with roughly 64% of the Solana TCG market. Over 30% of users have redeemed a physical card.
- $72.8 million in on-chain revenue from January 1 to September 15, per CoinGecko's ranking, which places Collector Crypt in the same bracket as Phantom, Aave and Aerodrome.
- A CoinGecko headline from around September 20 reports about $118 million in gross revenue over the trailing 30 days. We have not seen the underlying data.
On the token side
CARDS marked its first anniversary on August 29 with a burn of 22.49 million tokens, about 5.4% of circulating supply, and a 59.26 million token advisor unlock is due September 29. Two other headlines circulated this month, a $600,000 on-chain Charizard sale with zero fees and a governance vote on token allocation, but we could not find primary sources for either.
What to watch
The Raid Boss result and the promised special gacha releases, week four's closing challenges, and whether the new sports machines on the main site pull volume away from Gacha Sports.
